Taxi Driver Vacancy

We require smart, presentable drivers to work transporting passengers in the Mid Devon area.

You will enjoy driving, be sociable with good communication skills. You will be required to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. Generally you will work the same shift pattern each week but overtime will be available. You should have the ability to communicate effectively with passengers and other staff members. We have a wide variety of contracts, with local schools, hospitals and other businesses.

You will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the area and will need to obtain a Mid Devon Hackney badge. The details for this can be found HERE.

Please take a few moments to check what is involved, the process should take no more than four weeks. Please do not apply for the job until you have checked the requirements. For insurance purposes, you will need to be over 21 years old and have a full UK driving licence with no more than six points. We may be able to help with the cost of the badge on the basis it is paid back once you commence employment.

This is a rewarding position with no two days being the same.

We offer a basic 35 hours a week plus overtime, 28 days paid holiday per year and a contributory pension scheme.
